ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS LOGAN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION LOGAN COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA PROPOSED LOGAN HIGH SCHOOL STADIUM BLEACHERS DEEP FOUNDATIONS THRASHER PROJECT #060-10085 Sealed Bids for Logan High School Stadium Bleachers Deep Foundations will be received by the Logan County Board of Education at the offices of The Thrasher Group, located at 160 Association Drive, Kanawha County, West Virginia, until 1:30 p.m., L.P.T., on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, for furnishing labor and materials and performing all Work set forth in the Contract Documents prepared by The Thrasher Group, Inc. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud through live-stream, as social distancing guidelines will be followed. A link for the live-stream of the Bid Opening will be provided via Addendum. The approximate quantities of Work to be Bid upon is as described as follows: The work general includes deep foundation work for construction of new bleachers. The Work will be substantially completed by May 6, 2020. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per calendar day. Bidding Documents issued as digital drawings and digital specifications via downloadable link, are available free of charge. Amounts paid are not subject to refund. A two envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder Bid on Logan High School Stadium Bleachers Deep Foundations Received by The Thrasher Group, Inc. on behalf of Logan County Board of Education Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of five calendar days after the date set for the opening of Bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Logan County Board of Education, for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base Bid. Bidders must hold a current West Virginia contractor’s license on the date of Bid Opening. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders. Logan County Board of Education – reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
