ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS MON RIVER TRAILS CONSERVANCY DECKERS CREEK TRAIL REPAIR PROJECT Sealed bids for the Deckers Creek Trail Repair Project will be received by AECOM, on behalf of the Mon River Trails Conservancy, until 2:00 PM, local time on May 29, 2020 and then at said office, publicly opened and read aloud. Absolutely NO bids will be accepted if received after the deadline. The project scope will consist of aggregate trail resurfacing at the Deckers Creek Trail by installing 3″ of aggregate base course (AASTHO #10) on the existing trail bed for a length of 12.20 miles. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. Bidder registration is required. Submit bidder registration and request for electronic bidding documents by contacting Chris Channell, PE at AECOM, 304-381-9267 or [email protected] Questions can be submitted in writing (or electronic format) to AECOM offices by 2:00 PM, local time on May 15, 2020. Responses to questions will be distributed to all interested bidders. Bids may not be modified or withdrawn for a period of 60 days after receipt of bids without forfeiture of bid security; not as penalty, but as liquidated damages. A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or Certified Cashier’s Check must accompany all bids. Prospective bidders are advised that the contract awarded under this project is partially funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration’s Recreational Trails Program administered by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways. Design and control of the project must be in conformance with the guidelines of the Recreational Trails Program and all applicable State and Federal Regulations. Procurement of said products shall be in accordance with Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations. This is a prevailing rate project. Neither the United States, nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any esulting contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 and “FHWA 1273”, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, national origin, or physical disability. Bidders shall also comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standards Act. Bidders must comply with the requirements for Affirmative Action and Minority Business Enterprises participation as described in the Federal Specifications insert to the Contract Documents. Special provisions will be made by the bidder to show what portions of the bid within each division are supported by Minority Business Enterprise work. In addition, bidders may obtain, upon request, information concerning local MBE firms.
