NOTICE DEMOLITION Structure Demolition of 4 Structures: Sealed bids will be received by the City of Smithers, #2 Greyhound lane, P.O. Box 489, Smithers WV 25186, in-person or USPS delivered, postmarked or City date stamped by Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 3:30 p.m local time. Email bids not accepted. All sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the monthly City Council meeting on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Bids may be made per parcel, for multiple parcels, or for all parcels. Bid amount must be clearly associated with parcel(s) number(s). All bids must include 1-testing/removal of asbestos, filing of inspection certification of removal, if present; 2-demolition of structure listed on parcel; 3-removal of all debris, including household/garbage items and fallen/dangerous trees/ vegetation; and 4-filing of any basement cavities; and 5-leveling of site, sowing grass, and straw on property. Bidding contractor thereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he/she has a valid WV contractor’s license, insurance, and meets all of the qualifications required by the statues of the State of WV and the City of Smithers and will abide by all Federal, State, County, and City laws and ordinances. City of Smithers reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality therein.
