ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS GREENBRIER RIVER TRAIL ASSOCIATION & WEST VIRGINIA DIVISION of NATURAL RESOURCES GREENBRIER RIVER TRAIL PROJECT Sealed bids for Greenbrier River Trail Project will be received by Mr. Jody Spencer until 10:00 a.m., local time on Friday, November 6th, 2020 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Absolutely NO bids will be accepted if received after the deadline. The project will consist of resurfacing of existing trail at the Greenbrier River Trail by installing 2400 tons of 1/4′” Crusher Run Limestone Sand along approximately 72 miles of trail at the discretion of the on-site DNR inspector. Marlinton, WV 24954 304-799-4087 Bids may not be modified or withdrawn for a period of 60 days after receipt of Bids without forfeiture of Bid security, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages. A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check must accompany all bids. Prospective Bidders are advised that the contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is to be funded by a grant from the Federal Aid Highway Program of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Neither the United States nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 and “FHWA 1273”, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, national origin, or physical disability. Bidders shall also comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti- Kickback Act and the Contract Work Hours StandardsAct. Bidders must comply with the requirements for Affirmative Action and Minority Business Enterprises participation as described in the Federal Specifications insert to the Contract Documents. Special provisions will be made by the Bidder to show what portions of the BID within each Division are supported by Minority Business Enterprise work. In addition, bidders may obtain, upon request, information concerning local MBE firms.
