NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NITRO, WEST VIRGINIA TO INCREASE SEWER RATES NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of The City of Nitro, West Virginia, a municipal corporation, will hold a hearing immediately prior to the final vote on a proposed ordinance, the principal object of which is to increase sewer rates for customers of the sewer system owned by the City of Nitro and operated on its behalf by the Nitro Regional Waste Water Utility. The proposed ordinance, which was introduced on October 20, 2020, is titled “AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 915.14, ARTICLE 915 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NITRO, WEST VIRGINIA, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE RATES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE NITRO REGIONAL WASTE WATER UTILITY.” The proposed ordinance is available for inspection in the Office of the City Recorder at Nitro City Hall, 2009 20th Street, Nitro, West Virginia during normal business hours. The proposed ordinance will be on the agenda and considered for adoption at a meeting of the City Council of The City of Nitro to be held at the Nitro Church of Christ at 20 Main Avenue, Nitro, West Virginia, on November 17, 2020, beginning at 7:00 p.m. local time, at which time and place the public may appear and be heard with respect to the passage of the proposed ordinance.
