INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids for the supply and placement of furniture to support Construction of the Additions and Renovations to the Kanawha County Public Library Main Branch, will be received electronically by submitting all requested work to Erika Connelly, executive director: [email protected] and Dave Pray: [email protected] by Thursday, December 10 until 2:00 pm. All complete bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in a to be provided Zoom room. All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Owner. Bidders interested in submitting bids shall contact Katie Gaukin. Email Bid Package requests to Katie Gaukin: kgaukin@ hbmarchitects.com and a Bid Package will be sent out. There is no deposit required for Bid Packages and all printing costs incurred by bidders are the responsibility of the bidders and are non-refundable. A certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (10%) of the total Bid must be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract award. All Prime Contractors and Subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with WV Code Section 21-11-11 and other provisions of the WV Contractor’s Licensing Act. All Contractors shall provide a copy of their WV Contractor’s license and include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held electronically via Zoom on Monday, November 23, 2020, at 2:00 pm. All bidders should attend the Pre-Bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information.
