PUBLIC NOTICE As required by 40 CFR 403.8 the Huntington Sanitary Board hereby provides the names of the Industrial Users (IUs) which were in significant noncompliance at any time during the 12-month period from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020: Industry: Huntington Alloys, Corporation Address: 3200 Riverside Drive, Huntington, WV 25705 Violation: Meeting the Technical Review Criteria for Significant Non-Compliance for the daily concentration limit of Mercury for the first, second, and fourth quarters at monitoring point 003. Action Taken: Huntington Alloy, Corporation was issued two Notices of Violation requiring resampling and a plan of corrective action. Violation: Meeting the Technical Review Criteria for Significant Non-Compliance for the mass daily limit for Mercury for the first and second quarters at monitoring point 002. Action Taken: Huntington Alloy, Corporation was issued a Notice of Violation requiring resampling and a plan of corrective action. Violation: Huntington Alloy, Corporation displayed Significant Non-Compliance (event) for failing to submit sampling results for all Semi-annual parameters for quarter 3 and 4 at monitoring points 001, 002, 003, 004, and 005. Action Taken: Huntington Alloy, Corporation was issued an Administrative Order requiring resampling and a plan of corrective action including updating of their sampling protocol and schedule. Address: 18th Street and Commerce Ave., Huntington, WV 25701 Violation: Meeting the criteria for Chronic Significant Non-Compliance for the instantaneous limit for pH for quarter 1 at monitoring point 002. Action Taken: Steel of West Virginia, Inc. was required to resample for this parameter. Industry: Tri-State Plating Address: 219 22nd Street, Huntington, WV 25703 Violation: Meeting the Technical Review Criteria for Significant Non-Compliance for the mass daily limit for Zinc for quarter 2 at monitoring point 001. Action Taken: Tri-State Plating was issued a Notice of Violation requiring resampling and a plan of corrective action. Industry: Valicor Environmental Services, LLC Address: 515 8th Ave West Bay 100, Huntington, WV 25701 Violation: Meeting the criteria for Chronic Significant Non-Compliance for the monthly maximum concentration of Tin for quarter 3 at monitoring point 001. Action Taken: Valicor Environmental Services, LLC was required to resample twice for this parameter. Violation: Meeting the Technical Review Criteria for Significant Non-Compliance for the mass daily limit of Mercury for quarter 3 at monitoring point 001.
