INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids for the Mon River Trails Conservancy Deckers Creek Trail Undercut Repair Project in Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia will be received by the Mon River Trails Conservancy at the office of Alpha Associates, Incorporated at 209 Prairie Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26501 on or before March 9, 2021 2:00 PM LPT. The Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same location at that time. The work will consist of a Soil Nail/Micropile/ Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil System retaining wall and fence construction, grading and replacement of asphalt paving as indicated on the construction drawings. West Virginia Code 21-11-2 requires all Bidders desiring to perform contractual work in West Virginia must be duly licensed. All prospective Bidders shall be licensed prior to submitting their bid and shall include their contractor’s license number on their bid in accordance with the requirements of West Virginia Code 21-11-11. All Bidders will be required to be registered with the City of Morgantown, pay applicable B&O taxes and user fees.. Each Bid shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia payable to the order of the Mon River Trails Conservancy in the amount of not less than five percent (5 %) of the total bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, both in the amount of at least one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Bidding Documents, which consist of the Drawings and the Project Manual, may be obtained at the office of Alpha Associates, Inc. for a fee of $100 made payable to Alpha Associates, Inc. or by VISA/MasterCard for either a hard copy or electronic copy. Bidders wishing both may obtain for a fee of $150. If documents are to be mailed, a separate fee of $20 per set is required. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to those whose names and addresses are on record as having obtained Bidding Documents and plan rooms listed in the project manual. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held 10:00 AM on February 25, 2010 at the project site. Questions will be received until noon on March 1, 2021 before 1:00 PM. Federal wage rates are required for this project. The Mon River Trails Conservancy reserves the right to reject all bids. LC-105805 02-17,24;2021
