This project is located on the West Virginia Turnpike and consists of fully repainting the steelwork, applying protective coating to the abutment wingwalls, river piers, and parapet walls, and removing existing inspection walkway grating and replacing it with fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) for Bridge 2144S and Bridge 2144N. There is approximately 439,864 square feet of steelwork to be painted for Bridge 2144S and 462,898 square feet to be painted for Bridge 2144N (for information only). There is approximately 67,190 square feet of concrete to be coated for Bridge 2144S and 69,400 square feet of concrete to be coated for Bridge 2144N. There is approximately 3000 square feet of inspection walkway grating to be removed and replaced. All work under this contract shall be completed by June 30th, 2023.
