PROPOSED JET BRIDGE REPLACEMENT THRASHER PROJECT #060-10003.00 Sealed Bids for Contract Jet Bridge Replacement will be received by the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority, Kanawha County, West Virginia, until 2:00 p.m., L.P.T., on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, for furnishing labor and materials and performing all Work set forth in the Contract Documents prepared by The Thrasher Group, Inc. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud. The approximate quantities of Work to be Bid upon is as described as follows: The replacement of one (1) passenger boarding bridge (PBB) at Yeager Airport. The PBB is located at gate C2. The scope of work includes the procurement and installation of the new PBB, as well as the removal of existing equipment, including but not limited to pre-conditioned air units and ground power units. These items will be reinstalled on the new PBB. In addition, the scope includes removal of existing gate envelope striping and the reinstallation of new gate envelope striping. The Work will be substantially completed within 300 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 330 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per day. Complete sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office of The Thrasher Group by calling (304) 624-4108, for the following costs: Bidding Documents issued as hard copy drawings are available for $100.00 per set. Bidding Documents issued as digital drawings are available for $15.00 per set via QuestCDN.com Amounts paid are not subject to refund. A two envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder Bid on Contract Jet Bridge Replacement Received by the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of Bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority, an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base Bid. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders. The Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. A pre-bid conference will be held at Yeager Airport (in the Board Room upstairs next to the Director’s Office), located at 100 Airport Road, Charleston, WV, Kanawha County, West Virginia, on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., L.P.T.
