LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT The City of Lewisburg is currently soliciting proposals for the completion of the Update of Historic District Design Guidelines. SERVICES: This work will consist of: Development of Design Guidelines for the City of Lewisburg that will include the following: Update Lewisburg’s Design Guidelines using the latest historic preservation technical information, current guidelines from the State of WV Historic Preservation Office, and Secretary of Interior Historic Preservation Standards and Guidelines. Include suggested language for use of new materials and technologies compatible with preservation goals of the City. Tighten standards so there is less chance of different interpretations. Add architectural diagrams and visual aids as examples (see Note). Arrange the guidelines in a useable manner, for example, numbered lines and sections for reference. Propose guidelines that are responsive to public input from 2 public meetings (arrangements for public meeting are not in this scope of work). The City of Lewisburg Administration will review all proposals and select a consultant for the project based on the required information. Bids are to be received no later than 3:00 p.m. on June 9, 2021 bids will be opened at that time at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 Washington Street, W, Lewisburg, West Virginia in the Council Chambers. A selection will be made and a contract with the consultant will be signed by June 16, 2021 PAYMENT PROCESS The consultant will be reimbursed for services rendered and will not be reimbursed for travel or other expenses. The consultant will be paid in three increments: the first two increments tied to the satisfactory completion of specific stages of the project’s progress; the balance to be paid after the final product has been received by the Commission and approved by the State Historic Preservation Office.
