REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS ARCHITECTURAL/ ENGINEERING SERVICES THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH CHARLESTON The Housing Authority of the City of South Charleston is requesting qualified Architect/Engineers who are currently registered in the State of West Virginia to submit Statement of Qualifications to provide design and construction services for our Capital Fund Program. Statements must be mailed to: Michele Hatfield, Executive Director, South Charleston Housing Authority, 520 Goshorn Street, South Charleston, WV 25309, by 4:00 pm local time Tuesday, June 1, 2021. The contract is dependent on the availability of federal funds. To be considered responsive the proposals must include the following: 1. Evidence of the architect/engineer’s or firms ability to perform the work as indicated by profiles of the principals’ and staffs’ professional and technical competence and experience. 2. Capability to provide professional services in a timely manner. 3. Evidence that, where design work is involved, the architect/engineer is currently registered in the State of WV. 4. Past performance in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules. 5. Knowledge of local building codes. 6. A certified statement that the architect/engineer firm is not debarred suspended or otherwise prohibited from professional practice by State, Federal and local agencies. Scope of Work Work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of rubber roofing on 2- single story and 2- two story public housing apartment buildings (WV) and the replacement of siding and other modernization at 5 public housing units (single family homes). Professional services needed include: 1. Prepare plans and specifications, if required, for the completion of roofs, siding, gutters, doors, wood deck, and any other modernization needed as to ensure completed work meets HUD standards. 2. Assist the Executive Director in making recommendations in the areas project coordination. 3. Conduct timely on-site inspections during construction and final inspection of all work done.
