INVITATION TO BID The project Owner, The Tri-State Transit Authority, Huntington, WV invites proposals from bidders to provide all Work, including labor, material, equipment, supplies and transportation for the construction of the following project: TTA PAVING RENOVATIONS Virginia Ave & TTA Center Huntington, WV The Work includes but is not limited to selective demolition, concrete work, drainage structures, concrete coatings and associated work. A contract will be awarded for General Construction of this project. All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Architect and this Invitation for Bids. Bidding Documents shall be obtained from the Architect, Architect: Architectural Planning and Design, 1102 West Memorial Boulevard, Suite 107, Huntington, West Virginia 25701, (304) 521-2929. A $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is required for each printed set of documents. Only complete sets will be issued on or after NOVEMBER 15, 2019. PDF files of the documents are available upon email request to the Architect without charge. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following offices: Architectural Planning and Design, 1102 West Memorial Boulevard, Suite 107, Huntington, WV 25701, 304-521-2929, rjs@ architecturalplanning. biz C&B Blueprint Co. 824 Sixth St., Huntington, WV 25701 Offices of the Owner, 1120 Virginia Ave West, Huntington, WV A MANDATORY Prebid Meeting is scheduled for: TIME: 2:00PM – DATE: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2019 – PLACE: The project site on Virginia Ave, and proceeding thereafter to the site on 13th Street. All Bidders MUST attend the Prebid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project location, site conditions and other relevant information. Should any bidder fail to attend, its Bid will be disqualified. Sealed Bids shall be received until 2:00 pm, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2019 at the offices of the Owner noted above. No bids shall be received by FAX or by E-mail. At that time and place properly received bids will be opened and read aloud in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and any Supplemental Instructions. Bids should be sealed and clearly marked “TTA Paving Renovations” along with the bid opening date and time. All Bidders are required to furnish a Bid Bond, a copy of their current insurance certificates for liability and workmen’s compensation insurance and a copy of their City of Huntington Contractor’s License. After the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of the Contract price. Funding for the project is from a variety of sources and compliance with Davis-Bacon wage rates is required. Any contract resulting from bids submitted is subject to a financial assistance contract between TTA and the U.S. Department of Transportation. All bidders will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General’s List of Ineligible bidders. The successful bidder is required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. TTA hereby notifies bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises shall be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration of an award.
