REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS The Nicholas County Board of Education Transportation Department will accept quotations for the following types of fuel: 1) Ultra-low sulfur B5 bio-diesel fuel and Ultra-low sulfur on-road diesel fuel for the 2021-2022 school year until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021. Bid specification may be obtained by contacting Connie Roberts, Transportation Supervisor at 304.872.3611 x234 or [email protected]. The Nicholas County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject in part, or in whole, any quotation submitted. The successful vendor must comply with all state and federal regulations. Fuel must meet ASTMD6751 specifications. Fuel must be of a good grade and guaranteed to be properly mixed before reaching the Board of Education facilities. Quotations should reflect approximate usage of 100,000 gallons per year. The Nicholas County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject in part, or in whole, any quotation submitted. This contract may be renewed for an additional two years at the Nicholas County Board of Education’s discretion. Either party may terminate contract with a 30-day written notice. All quotations are considered to be FOB Destination. Destination shall be any and all tank locations owned and operated by the Nicholas County Board of Education. Exact location and description of tanks can be obtained by calling Connie Roberts at 872-3611, extension 234 at the Nicholas County Board of Education office. Vendor shall maintain adequate supplies within our tanks to assure sufficient supply for normal operations. A metered volume ticket, signed by an authorized person of the vendor and Board of Education, shall be attached to all invoices. Type and brand of fuel and location of delivery shall be shown on each delivery ticket and invoice. The agency will accept the daily rack price for the Montvale, VA plant on the delivery date to the agency plus the vendor’s mark-up for business profit/expenses on supplying to the Nicholas County Board of Education. Invoices must show the rack price for the delivery date plus applicable taxes and quoted mark-up charged by the vendor. Vendor must also include verification of Montvale, VA rack price with each delivery invoice. Purchasing Card Acceptance: The Nicholas County Board of Education participates in the West Virginia Local Government Purchasing Card Program and currently utilizes a Purchasing Card, administrated under contract by a banking institution, to process payments for goods and services. The Vendor must accept the Local Government Purchasing Card for payment of all orders under this Contract. Only the vendors’ mark-up will be considered in the evaluation of quotations. Product cost to the agency shall be the same as the cost to the vendor. The Nicholas County Board of Education is exempt from all federal and state taxes on fuel and will not accept billing for any taxes.
