NOTICE OF FILING WEST VIRGINIA- AMERICAN WATER COMPANY AND THE TOWN OF GLASGOW CASE NO. 19-0863-W-PC On September 6, 2019, the West Virginia-American Water Company and The Town of Glasgow filed a Joint Application for Consent and Approval of an Asset Purchase Agreement for the sale and transfer of the Town’s water utility assets to the Company. Following the acquisition, the water system assets of the Town will be owned and operated by the Company subject to commission and jurisdiction and regulation. From and after the closing of the acquisition, the former customers of the Town will be customers of the Company. After the phase-in, based on present Company rates, the monthly bill for customer using 4,000 gallons will increase to $66.30 beginning in 2024. Anyone desiring to protest should file a written protest as soon as possible, but no later than ten (10) days after the date of publication of this Notice. All written protests should briefly state the reason for the protest. Absent substantial protest the Commission may decide the case on the filings.
