INVITATION TO BID The City of Nitro is soliciting sealed bids for striping of the newly paved library parking lot at the Nitro Library/ Nitro Park area at 1700 Park Avenue, Nitro, WV 25143. Bids will be received until 3:00 pm, September 7, 2021 and will be opened at 7:00 pm, September 7, 2021 at the regularly scheduled meeting of Nitro City Council in Council Chambers at 497 First Avenue South, Nitro, WV 25143. Sealed bids are to be mailed to Recorder Rita Cox, P. O. Box 308, Nitro, WV 25143 or delivered to Nitro City Hall, 2009 20th Street, Nitro, WV 25143. A site visit and meeting will be held at the site at 1700 Park Avenue, Nitro at 2:00 pm on August 23, 2021. This meeting is mandatory. Scope of Work and Proposal Forms, which all bidders are required to use in submitting their bids, may be obtained from Laura cox [email protected] and will be distributed at the site visit. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelope with the outside identified with bidder’s name and address and addressed to the City of Nitro identifying the bid as “Bid to Provide and Install Parking Lot Marking Painting.” The City of Nitro reserves the right to consider bids for thirty (30) days after their receipt and the right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept a bid which is deemed most favorable to the interest of the City, and to accept any bid or to reject any or all of them in accordance with the specifications and the bidder’s form.
