ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF ST. ALBANS KANAWHA COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA COMPACT EXCAVATOR & TRAILER AND SERVICE TRUCK August 2021 Sealed Bids will be received by the City of St. Albans, 1499 MacCorkle Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, at the specified dates and times for the following: 1) Compact Excavator and Trailer Bid, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., September 21, 2021. 2) Service Truck Bid, until 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., September 21, 2021. Following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals that have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work to be bid upon is described as follows: 1) Compact Excavator and Trailer Bid Bids shall be received by the City of St. Albans for furnishing and delivering a John Deere 60G, or equal, compact excavator with 400mm rubber track, 6’1″ long arm/long lead, cab with heater and air conditioning, angle blade, and the following attachments: 24″ HD bucket with teeth (5.2 cu. ft.) and hydraulic clamp kit. A tandem axle gravity tilt heavy duty 2″ X 8″ pressure treated deck, 14,000 lb GVWR, heavy duty frame trailer (8.5′ width” x 20′ length). 2) Service Truck Bid Bids shall be received by the City of St. Albans for furnishing and delivering a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 5500, or equal, Regular Cab, V8 Turbo Diesel, Dual Rear Wheels, Automatic Transmission, 4 X 4, bed delete, equipped with Knapheide Utility Bed, or equivalent. The equipment supplied herein shall be new, unused, and current year production model equipped as described in the Specifications. Bidders shall submit a base price less any government discounts available. There is no cost for the Equipment Bid specifications. Each Bid shall be submitted on the Bidder’s standard equipment bid proposal format and included in a sealed envelope, and included in a larger sealed envelope containing the Bid Bond and Power of Attorney, with the following information written on the outside of the envelope: 1) Compact Excavator and Trailer Bid “Name and Address of Bidder”, City of St. Albans, Bid on Compact Excavator and Trailer, to be opened at 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., September 21, 2021. 2) Compact Excavator and Trailer Bid “Name and Address of Bidder”, City of St. Albans, Bid on Service Truck, to be opened at 2:00 P.M., L.P.T., September 21, 2021. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.
