ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PAGE-KINCAID PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT FAYETTE COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA WATER TREATMENT PLANT DECOMMISSIONING THRASHER PROJECT # 010-10165 Sealed Bids for the construction of the Water Treatment Plant Decommissioning Project will be received, by The Thrasher Group, Inc. on behalf of Page Kincaid Public Service District, at the offices at The Thrasher Group, Inc. Located at 300 Association Drive, Charleston, West Virginia 25311 until 2:00 PM local time on October 21, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The approximate quantities of work to be bid upon are described as follows: To provide all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to decommission the existing Page-Kincaid Public Service District Water Treatment Plant, including but not limited to: the removal of the existing high-pressure filter and chlorine equipment, associated piping, and all appurtenances at the Water Plant Building; the cleaning, pressure washing, demolition, and subsequent backfill of the existing Settling Basins following sludge and other material removal and disposal; the demolition, removal, and disposal of all existing equipment at the Well Pump Houses; the removal and disposal of the High Service Pumps and all existing equipment and components at the Recycle Pump Station, Backwash Station, and Tray Aerator; and the removal and disposal of the Backwash Basins following sludge and other material removal and disposal. The Work will be substantially completed within 60 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 90 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Page-Kincaid Public Service District in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code.
