PUBLIC NOTICE OF SALE OF OFFICE BUILDING Putnam Public Service District is offering for sale in “AS IS and WHERE IS” condition, by competitive written bidding process, the property located at 74 Scott Depot Road (formerly known as 107 South Poplar Fork Road), Scott Depot, West Virginia 25560. The sale includes the office building and the property on which the building is situated. This property will be open and available for public inspection on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All written sealed bid proposals must be in a monetary sum and must be received, by the Putnam Public Service District via hand delivery, express mail service or First Class U.S. Mail, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at its office at the following addresses: FOR U.S. MAIL: Putnam Public Service District P.O. Box 860 Scott Depot WV 25560-0860 FOR EXPRESS MAIL DELIVERY OR HAND DELIVERY: Putnam Public Service District 136 Carls Lane Scott Depot WV 25560 The following should be written in the lower left corner of the envelope containing the sealed bid: “PUTNAM PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT PROPERTY BID”. The public opening of all bids will occur at the Board Meeting of the Putnam Public Service District to be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., at the District’s offices. Thereafter, all bid proposals will be reviewed by the Board of the District. The successful bidder will be notified of their bid acceptance as soon as reasonably possible. The Putnam Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder will be notified and requested to submit a non-refundable down payment of five percent (5%) of the bid amount by cashier’s check within five (5) days of being notified of bid acceptance. Upon receipt of down payment, a Special Warranty Deed will be prepared and a closing will be scheduled with the buyer following the approval of the Public Service Commission of West Virginia.
