INVITATION TO BID CONTRACT N0. (IFB 1-2022) THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WILLIAMSON, WEST VIRGINIA will receive sealed bids for the Installation of (36) Mini Split HVAC Systems AT LIBERTY HEIGHTS APARTMENTS (325 Liberty Street) at the Housing Authority Offices until 10:30 a. m. on Monday November 29th, 2021, at which time and place all bids will be publicity opened and read aloud for the installation work. The above work will be bid as one package. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained or examined at the following location: Housing Authority of the City of Williamson, West Virginia, 16 West Fourth Avenue, P.O. Box 1758,Williamson, WV 25661, (304) 235-3270 ext 106. A Prebid Conference will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday November 15th, 2021, at Goodman Manor at 16 West Fourth Avenue, Williamson, West Virginia. Attendance is recommended. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Williamson, Par Value U.S. Government bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by acceptable surities in an amount equal to five percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Housing Authority of the City of Williamson reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Williamson, WV. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u (section 3). The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance or HUD-Assisted projects covered by Section 3, shall to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low and very low-income persons, particularly persons who are recipients of HUD assistance for housing.
