INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids will be received by the City of Nitro for construction of a new welcome sign to be located in front of McDonalds which is located at 4108 First Avenue, Nitro, WV 25143. Bids will be received until 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2021. The bids will be opened on December 7, 2021 at 7:00 pm during the regularly scheduled meeting of Nitro City Council. Bids are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the outside identified with the bidder’s name and address indicated and with the enveloped being addressed to the “City of Nitro” identifying the bid as “Bid to Provide and Install Welcome Sign.” Sealed bids can me mailed to Recorder Rita Cox, P. O. Box 308, Nitro, WV 25143 or delivered to Nitro City Hall, 2009 20th Street, Nitro, WV 25143. The City of Nitro reserves the right to consider bids for thirty (30) days after their receipt and the right is reserved to waive any informalities, to accept a bid which is deemed most favorable to the interest of the city, and to accept any bid or to reject any or all of them in accordance with the specifications and the bidder’s forms.
