ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Thrasher Group on behalf of Coalfield Development Corporation Black Diamond Site Soil Removal 909 Camden Street Huntington Wayne County, West Virginia Thrasher Project Number 070-10135 General Notice The Thrasher Group on behalf of Coalfield Development Corporation (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at The Thrasher Group located at 300 Association Drive, Charleston, WV 25311 until Monday, January 27 at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be privately opened and evaluated. The project includes: The entire loose sandblast material and the stockpile of Back Beauty sandblast material will be scraped from the concrete floor. Excavation of dirt pits within the existing concrete floor to three feet in depth. All excavated materials (approximately 500 cu yds / 600 tons) will be loaded into covered trucks and transported under non-hazardous manifest to Boyd County Sanitary Landfill, Ashland Kentucky. Waste Profile Approval and landfill disposal costs are the direct responsibility of Coalfield Development Corporation and not the selected contractor. Approximately 30 dirt pit areas within the buildings at the Black Diamond site will be excavated to a depth of three (3) feet below existing floor level. Gravel rock will be used to backfill each of the dirt pit excavations to approximately 12 inches below the existing concrete floor. The gravel will be compacted in lifts and crusher run will be added and compacted to approximately 6-8 inches of the existing concrete floor level. Cement with 6″x6″ wire support will be used to fill the remaining excavation and leveled to match the existing concrete floor elevation. The Work is anticipated to begin in February 2022, take approximate one week and will be substantially completed within 14 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence. Project completion, close out and ready for final payment within 30 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
