No.: WV0106216 Applicant: SOUTH CHARLESTON SANITARY BOARD PO BOX 8336 SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV 25303 Location: SOUTH CHARLESTON, KANAWHA COUNTY Latitude: 38:17:12 Longitude: 81:48:25 Receiving Stream: Coal River of Kanawha River Activity: To operate and maintain an existing 72,000 gpd wastewater collection and treatment system to serve approximately 192 residential customers in the Ridges of Rabel Mountains development, and discharge treated wastewater through Internal Outlet 101 ultimately to Outlet No. 001 to the Coal River, approximately 17.87 miles from its mouth of the Kanawha River. Also to accept a maximum of 5,000 GPD of treated sanitary wastewater from the Blueridge Development (Rabel Meadows) WWTP. The effluent being discharged from Outlet 001 contains treated wastewater from the Blueridge Development (Rabel Meadows) WWTP which is combined with the treated wastewater from Internal Outlet No. 101. An antidegradation review has been conducted and Tier 1 and Tier 2 protection is provided for the uses specified in Title 47, Series 2, Section 6 for Outlet No. 001. Any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit and may request a public hearing by addressing such to the Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management within 30 days of the date of the public notice. Comments received within this period will be considered prior to acting on the permit application. The Director shall hold a public hearing whenever a finding is made, on the basis of requests, that there is a significant degree of public interest on issues relevant to the Draft Permit(s).
