Modified CSR29-1, Licensure of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, has been filed as an Emergency Rule with the WV Secretary of State, as mandated by HB 2024, passed by the WV Legislature and signed by the Governor on April 9, 2021 but effective from passage on 03/30/2021. The modifications all relate specifically to telepractice and permits health care practitioners licensed in other states to practice in WV using telepractice services, provides emergency rule-making authority; sets forth requirements for registration of out-of-state practitioners, permits a fee for registration; establishes that a registrant is subject to this jurisdiction; places a cap on the fee; provides for when the practitioner-patient relationship is established and adds criteria to the standard of care related to telepractice services with exceptions.
