The Burner Mountain PL Sale is located within the headwaters of the East Fork of the Greenbrier river, 5 miles north of the town of Bartow, WV. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids in public at Forest Supervisors Office, 200 Sycamore St., Elkins, WV 26241 at 1:00 PM local time on 09/09/2015 for an estimated volume of 498 CCF of Ash, Yellow Poplar, Cucumber sawtimber, 298 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 195 CCF of Beech, Birch, Hickory, Magnolia, Hemlock sawtimber, 461 CCF of Chestnut / White Oak sawtimber, 729 CCF of Red & Sugar Maple sawtimber, and 2477 CCF of Red, Black & Scarlet Oak sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. Sale contains specified roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $141,266.08. Bidders qualifying as small business concerns under the Small Business Act may, when submitting a bid, elect for the Forest Service to build permanent roads. Additional information concerning this option is in the prospectus. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public from the Greenbrier Ranger District, Route 250 South, Bartow, WV 24920.
