Concord University REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS or INTEREST (EO1)1201 FOR ARCHITECTURAL /ENGINEERING SERVICES Concord University is soliciting Expressions of Interest from qualified firms to provide professional architectural and engineering services for an up-grade to the athletic running track at Callaghan Stadium on the Athens, West Virginia campus. Section 1 General Information 1.1 The project consists of a complete, comprehensive up-grade to the current running track. 1.2 Concord University intends to renovate the athletic running track to address deficiencies and provide up-grades for the same use. 1.3 This project will be on an accelerated schedule, with anticipated selection of the architectural firm in April, 2015. Box 1000 Vermillion Street Athens, WV 24712 Phone: (304) 384-5190 Email: [email protected] OR Mr. Gerard Folio Assistant Director of Physical Plant Phone: 384-5114 Email: [email protected] Section 2 Scope of Services 2.1 Design services shall be provided in detail which addresses any and all aspects of the Athletic running track which are in need of repair, 2.2 Design services shall be performed to provide a pre-determined cost for repair which will be used to secure funding for up-grading and renovations. 2.3 Selected firm will first provide design services for cost of project, with presentation of documents indicating appearance(s) after proposed design services are completed. 2.4 Upon completion of all design services, cost estimates, and drawings, the successful firm selected should possess appropriate service level(s) to proceed with any needed architectural requirements to implement the recommended design services. 2.5 The renovation will entail upgrades to conform to current NCAA requirements. 2.6 In addition to the above upgrades, the mechanical systems including, but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, will also be upgraded. 2.7 Up-grade of the existing exterior of the Towers Dorms in order to make the core and shell as energy efficient as possible when renovations are complete. 2.8 The repair/replacement of the current roof at Jerry L. Beasley College Center will be included in this project. 2.9 This project will involve selected up-grades at three (3) structures on the Athens, WV campus Two (2) buildings are dormitories and one (1) structure houses the campus cafeteria, post office, various offices, bookstore, ballroom, kitchen facilities, etc. 2.10 The actual scope of services may vary from the tasks listed above and communicated to the selected architectural firm.
