NOTICE

Monongalia County Schools is accepting sealed bids for the purchase and installation of a POLE STYLE BUILDING. The building will be 130′ x 130′ x 10′. This building is to have a 1 foot overhang on two sides and the other two sides will have a 6 foot overhang (cantilever style). The trusses will be attic style. The attic floor is to be constructed of 3/4 in tongue and groove plywood, the full length and width of the open truss area. There will be 36 windows, 8-3’0 x 6’8" exterior doors, no windows, or exterior trim, panic hardware on the inside of the doors. There will be 6 sets of double doors 6’0 x 6’8 with full glass and panic hardware with lever handles on the exterior with IC core (cylinders provided by county). There will also be mullion post between the doors. The exterior walls will be at least 3/4" plywood covered with house wrap for weather protection. The roofing will be colored metal; this color will be determined at a later date. The upstairs attic will have a 3’0 x 6’8 door on each end with lever handles and IC cores (cylinders provided by the county). There is to be continuous gutters installed with the number of downspouts to be determined.

The awardee will be paid prevailing wage and will be expected to provide a copy of his/her certified payroll to Mon. Co. Board of Ed. (Kermit Hess) for verification each pay period. There will be a site visit on May 4, 2015 at 10:00 am for all interested parties wishing to bid. This is a MANDATORY meeting, no exceptions. This site meeting will be held at 360 Baldwin Street (Suncrest Middle School). All bids need to be in by May 8, 2015 by 10:00 am, the time of the bid opening. Bid opening will take place at 533 East Brockway, Avenue, Morgantown, WV. Monongalia County Schools reserve the right to reject or deny any or all bids.
