INVITATION FOR BID DESCRIPTION: 2015 COLLEGE AVENUE PAVING PROJECT The Town of Bluefield, Virginia will be accepting sealed bids for paving for sections of Town Streets at the Office of Town Manager, Town Hall, and 112 Huffard Drive, Bluefield, Virginia 24605 on or before 10:00 a.m. local time, on May 25, 2015. The Pre-Bid Conference will be held on May 11th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. MBE/WBE/SBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President’s Executive Order Number 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders Number 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. on May 25th, 2015. All bids received after 10:00 a.m. on May 25th, 2015 will be returned unopened. Bids may be mailed to and clearly marked: Town of Bluefield, Attn: College Avenue Paving Project, P.O. Box 1026, Bluefield, Virginia 24605. Faxed bids will not be accepted. The contract documents will be given out at the pre-bid conference. The pre-bid conference will be held on May 11th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m at Town Hall, 112 Huffard Drive, Bluefield, Virginia. Those interested in submitting a bid are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference.
