INVITATION FOR BID ADDENDUM: CHANGE TO BID OPENING DATE DESCRIPTION: 2015 COLLEGE AVENUE PAVING PROJECT The Town of Bluefield, Virginia will be accepting sealed bids for paving for sections of town streets at the Office of the Town Manager, Town Hall, 112 Huffard Drive, Bluefield, Virginia 24605 on or before 10:00 a.m. local time on May 26, 2015. The bid opening date has been changed from Monday, May 25th to Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. All bids received after 10:00 a.m. on May 26, 2015 will be returned unopened. MBE/WBE/SBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President’s Executive Order Number 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders Number 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not maintain or provide for their employees and facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
