The City of Westover is accepting applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer. There will be a physical agility and a written examination scheduled once the application process has been completed.

The applications may be picked up at the Westover Police Department Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The applicant must be at least eighteen years of age and no older than forty years of age, free of any restrictions from carrying a firearm, possess a valid Driver’s License, must possess a high school diploma, GED, and/or equivalent.

Prior to competing in the physical agility testing, the candidate must have a medical clearance from a practicing physician licensed in the state of West Virginia.

All applicants will be notified of the dates and times of the physical and written examinations. All applications must be submitted accompanying the physician’s medical release for physical agility training on or before Friday, January 30, 2015. There is a $25.00 processing fee when the application is returned.
