PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, West Virginia, for the purpose of hearing proponents and/or opponents to the following Ordinance pending before them:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CHARTER SECTION 2.12 AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 2.17 PERMITTING AUTHORIZATION OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS BY RESOLUTION RATHER THEN ORDINANCE.
W. Va. Code section 8-4-8 provides the notice requirements: "The notice shall state that the proposed amendment or amendments will be considered on the date and at the time and place fixed by the governing body and that any qualified voter or any freeholder of the city may appear and file objections, in writing, and also that if no objections are filed the said amendment or amendments shall become operative on and after a date fixed in the notice, which date shall be not less than ten days after the date of the hearing
The above entitled Ordinance is expected to be adopted following the Public Hearing. Copies are available in the City Clerk’s Office, 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, West Virginia.
