ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Buchanan County Public Service Authority P.O. Box 30 Vansant, Virginia 24656 Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Lynn Camp Water Line Extension (Phase II Development) project which consists of the construction of approximately 7,190 linear feet (L.F.) of 4-inch water line, one (1) hydropneumatic tank station, one (1) pitless booster pump station and all related appurtenances will be received by Mr. Gregory McClanahan, Executive Director, at the Buchanan County Public Service Authority Office, 1023 Old Benns Branch Road, Oakwood, VA 24631, until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on August 12, 2015, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: Buchanan County Public Service Authority, 1023 Old Benns Branch Road, Oakwood, VA; THOMPSON & LITTON, 726 Auburn Avenue, Radford, VA; Thompson & Litton, 103 East Main Street, Wise, VA; Thompson & Litton, 227 W. Main Street, Tazewell, VA; AGC of America, Blountville, TN; DODGE Data, Hot Springs, AR; Valley Construction News, Roanoke, VA; and Builder’s Exchange, Inc., Knoxville, TN. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained from Thompson & Litton at 103 East Main Street, Wise, VA 24293; by writing P.O. Box 1307, Wise, VA 24293-1307; or by calling (276) 328-2161. An electronic copy (CD or download) of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 for each set. A hard copy (including electronic copy) of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 for each set. Withdrawal of bids shall be in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia. Any BIDDER must give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his Bid within two business days after the conclusion of the Bid Opening Procedure. If a Bid is withdrawn, the next higher bidder shall be deemed to be the Low Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn unless said withdrawal is permitted by law. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. A Pre-bid Conference will be held on July 28, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. All interested parties are requested to meet the Engineer at the Buchanan County Public Service Authority Office at that time. BIDDERS must be licensed as a Class A Contractor in the State of Virginia. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit Bids. The contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
