ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PAVING CONTRACTOR
2015 STREET PAVING PROJECT
HOT MIX BITUMINOUS ASPHALTIC CEMENT
The City of Westover is requesting sealed bids from Paving Contractors for their 2015 STREET PAVING PROJECT. Documents may be obtained at Westover City Hall located at 500 Dupont Road, Westover, WV 26501 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or can be e-mailed or faxed upon request @ 304-296-6860. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, August 27th in Council Chambers, Westover City Hall at 1:30 p.m. All Bidders must hold a current West Virginia Contractor’s License. Bids should include the cost of PLACEMENT only, a timeline dedicated to this project, and a list of references. Deadline for receipt of bids is Friday, September 4th at 4:30 p.m., so that the bids can be opened and voted on at the Council Meeting scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on September 8th.
The Contractor who is awarded the bid will need to present a Certificate of Insurance and must comply with a construction time limit of 30 calendar days, with liquidated damages of $250 per day. The City of Westover reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous.
