Request for Bids Melrose Multi-Purpose Building The Mercer County Board of Education invites bids to provide all work, including but not limited to labor, material, equipment, supplies, and transportation for supplying and erecting a new 80 ft. x 120 ft. metal pre-engineered multi-purpose building at the Melrose School location. The Board is seeking bids for a turnkey project. A mandatory pre-bid will be held on January 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., in the conference room at the Mercer County Board of Education, 1403 Honaker Avenue, Princeton, WV 24740. The pre-bid will continue at the Melrose site, 2121 Athens Road, Princeton, WV 24739, so vendors can inspect the location. The bid package will only be distributed at the pre-bid meeting. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Mercer County Board of Education, shall be submitted with the bid. All bidders must submit a copy of their current contractor’s license as required by Chapter 21 of the WV Code. The successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond. The successful bidder will also be required to execute a contract, comply with all rules and regulations of the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Laws, provide evidence of insurance coverage to the minimum limits required by the contract documents, and submit a State of West Virginia Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit. Final contract payment will not be made to the vendor until all certifications of compliance with WV Code ?5A-3-10a, ?11-10-11(d) and ?21-A-2-6c (a) for payment of applicable state and county taxes has been obtained. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety days. Other requirements will be detailed in the bid package.
