ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PAVING CONTRACTOR
FY 17/18 STREET PAVING PROJECT
HOT MIX BITUMINOUS ASPHALTIC CEMENT
The City of Westover is requesting sealed bids from Paving Contractors for their FY 17/18 STREET PAVING PROJECT. Documents may be obtained at Westover City Hall located at 500 Dupont Road, Westover, WV 26501 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or can be e-mailed or faxed upon request @ 304-296-6860. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, October 6th, 2017 in Council Chambers, Westover City Hall at 10 a.m. All Bidders must hold a current West Virginia Contractor’ s License. Bids should include the cost of PLACEMENT only, a timeline dedicated to this project, and a list of references. Deadline for receipt of bids is Monday, October 16th at 4:30 p.m., so that the bids can be opened and voted on at the Council Meeting scheduled at 6:00 p.m. that evening.
The Contractor who is awarded the bid will need to present a Certificate of Insurance and must comply with a construction time limit of 30 calendar days, with liquidated damages of $250 per day.
The City of Westover reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous.
