Notice is hereby given that CARTER ROAG COAL COMPANY, 109 APPALACHIAN DRIVE, BECKLEY, WV 25801 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 227.22 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number O003185 to dispose of Refuse material in the N/A seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Left Fork of Buckhannon River; Dry Run of Left Fork of Buckhannon River, Left For of Unnamed Tributary of Left Fork of Buckhannon River all of Tygart Valley River of Monongahela River and is located 4.3 miles East of HELVETIA in MIDDLE FORK District of Randolph County, Longitude 80∂ 6’ 50.0000” and Latitude 38∂ 42’ 40.0000” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until July 31, 2015, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until July 31, 2015, or thirty days from the date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located the the address above AND in the Randolph County Clerk’s Office(s) during normal business hours.
