NOTICE OF
APPLICATION FOR PURCHASE OF
ASSETS AND
ASSUMPTION OF
LIABILITIES OF A BANK
Summit Community Bank, Inc., 310 North Main Street, Moorefield, West Virginia, 26836, has made application with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for permission to purchase the assets and assume the liabilities of MVB Bank, Inc., 301 Virginia Avenue, Fairmont, West Virginia 26554 and establish branches and drive-thru facilities at the following locations of MVB Bank, Inc.: (i) 660 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia; (ii) 400 Washington Street, East, Charleston, West Virginia; (iii) 3754 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, West Virginia; (iv) 999 4th Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia; (v) 6441 Farmdale Rd., Barboursville, West Virginia (drive-thru facility); and (vi) 940 5th Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia (drive-thru facility). It is contemplated that the four branches and two drive-thru locations of MVB Bank, Inc. listed above will continue to be operated following the consummation of the purchase of assets and assumption of liabilities of MVB Bank, Inc. as branches and drive thru facilities of Summit Community Bank, Inc.
Any person wishing to comment on this application may file his or her comments in writing with the regional director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation at its regional office, Ten 10th Street, NW, Suite 800, Atlanta, Georgia 30309-3849, not later than May 28, 2021. The non-confidential portions of the application are on file at the regional office and are available for public inspection during regular business hours. Photocopies of the non-confidential portion of the application file will be made available upon request. The public is also invited to submit written comments regarding this application to the West Virginia Board of Banking and Financial Institutions.
