On January 30, 2015, Ministers Run Water Association, a public utility, filed with the Public Service Commission of West Virginia an application requesting increased rates and charges for furnishing water service to customers in Marion and Monongalia Counties
The Staff of the Public Service Commission has reviewed the application and has recommended increased reates and charges designed to produce approximatley $7,810 annually in additional revenue, an increase of 11.20{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} over current rates. The present and the Staff recommendend rates are as follows:
RATES – per 1,000 gallons
First 5,000 gallons used per month; $9.89; $10.76
Next 5,000 gallons used per month; $9.32; $10.36
Next 10,000 gallons used per month; $8.99; $10.00
Next 10,000 gallons used per month; $8.48; $9.43
All Over 30,000 gallon used per month; $7.76; $8.63
MINIMUM CHARGE – No bill will be rendered for less than the following amounts according to the size of the meter installed.
5/8 inch meter; $24.96; $30.54
3/4 inch meter; $37.44; $45.81
1 inch meter; $62.40; $76.35
2 inch meter; $124.80; $244.32
3 inch meter; $199.68; $488.64
4 inch meter; $371.41; $763.50
The above minimum charges are subject to an additional $1.57 per thousand gallons of water used per month.

There are no resale customers.
Anyone desiring to protest the changed rates and charges must do so, in writing, within ten (10) days of the date of publication of this notice. All protests should be addressed to the Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P. O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323. To help the Commission determine the justification for additional review and investigation, protests must be specific as to reasons that the changed rates and charges should be modified. In addition, anyone desiring a hearing in this matter must demand a hearing in the letter of protest.
If no hearing is demanded, the Commission may affirm the Staff-recommended rates without a hearing.
