NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – EXTENSION OF COMMENT PERIOD SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT BLUESTONE DAM SAFETY MODIFICATION PROJECT BLUESTONE DAM, SUMMERS COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, by this Notice of Availability (NOA), advises the public that the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) for the Bluestone Dam Safety Modification Project is complete. Public review has been extended to November 23, 2016 due to technical issues with the provided email address used for submitting comments. If any comments were previously sent to the provided email address, the comments were not received and will need to be resubmitted. Bluestone Dam is located on the New River in Summers County, West Virginia. A Record of Decision (ROD) is anticipated for the proposed action. A draft ROD is included with the SDEIS for public review. The public review period began on September 1, 2016 and has been extended to November 23, 2016. Upon the close of the comment period, USACE will consider all substantive comments and if necessary conduct further analysis.
