PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA CHARLESTON CASE NO. 14-1495-PSD-42R CRAB ORCHARD- MACARTHUR PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT, A public utility, Crab Orchard, Raleigh County. Rule 42 application to increase sewer rates. NOTICE OF HEARING On May 22, 2014, Crab Orchard-MacArthur Public Service District (Utility) filed an application to increase its rates and charges for providing sewer service by 7.81{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} resulting in an additional $171,505 in annual revenue to become effective on August 18, 2014, subject to refund. Staff of the Public Service Commission reviewed the Utility’s financial condition and has recommended an increase of 4.85{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}, as opposed to the 7.81{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} increase requested by the Utility. On January 2, 2015, the Utility objected to the Staff recommendation. The matter has been set for hearing on January 22, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom B (the Ceremonial Courtroom), Raleigh County Courthouse, 215 Main Street, Beckley. Interested individuals may appear at the hearing and be heard regarding the proposed application to increase the sewer rates. Individuals may also submit written comment to the Commission by submitting that comment to the Executive Secretary, Post Office Box 812, Charleston, WV 25323, on or before January 22, 2015.
