Notice of Joint Public Hearing
NOTICE is hereby given that on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 7:15 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building for the Town of Tazewell, Virginia (“Town”), located at 211 Central Avenue, Tazewell, Virginia, the Town Council and Town Planning Commission will hold a JOINT PUBLIC HEARING, pursuant to Virginia Code 15.2-2204 (A) and 15.2-2286 (Repl.Vol.2018), Town Charter Secs.2-1,2-209, and 3-8, and Town Code Sec.23-6, to provide the citizens of the Town an opportunity to be heard with respect to a proposal for the Town to amend Chapter 23, “Zoning”, of the Town Code in order to revise the definitions section of Article I of Chapter 23, to specifically revise permissible uses and there- designation of conditional use to “special use” as identified in Articles II and V of Chapter 23, to incorporate the criteria for application, authorization, issuance, expiration, renewal and revocation of special use permits as identified in Article VII of Chapter 23, and to revise the fee schedule for applications, permits and document reviews as identified in Article IX of Chapter 23. A copy of the proposed amended Ordinance is available for review and inspection during normal business hours (8:00 a.m.-4:30p.m.) at the Town of Tazewell Municipal Building, as referenced herein above.
