NOTICE OF
Occupancy Tax Ordinance to
Municipal Code of the
City of Mullens
An Ordinance for:
the collection of taxes from
hotel, motel or lodging
revenues generated within
the City of Mullens
pursuant to West Virginia
Code ‘7-18-1 et seq.
On September 18, 2018, the Council for City of Mullens made a motion, which was seconded and regularly passed, in a regularly scheduled City Council Meeting to enact an Ordinance to collect taxes from hotel, motel or lodging revenues generated within the City of Mullens. The Proposed Ordinance relates to establishing a method to collect occupancy taxes from lodging within the city and to share those tax revenues between the City of Mullens and the Wyoming County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Anyone interested or affected by this Ordnance to the Municipal Code to the City of Mullens as it pertains to the collection of occupancy taxes from lodging within the City of Mullens; or if anyone objects to the said proposed ordinance, may file written statements of protest to the following address: City of Mullens, 316 Moran Avenue, Mullens, West Virginia 25882.
Anyone requesting a hearing in theses matters must request a hearing in the letter of protest and be present at the below listed hearings in these matters in City Council Chambers for the City of Mullens, Mullens West Virginia, wherein hearings and/or fist and second reading of the proposed Ordinance will occur.
