The Hampshire County Commission will hold a public hearing during their regularly scheduled meeting of October 13, 2015 at 10:00 am, in the Courtroom of the Old Courthouse, for a first reading, to consider a proposed addendum to the Animal Rescue Shelter and Pet Adoption Ordinance, also known as HC-9. The proposed addendum includes an acknowledgement page to be completed upon application for a registration permit advising the applicant that inspections by Hampshire County Animal Control and Health Department personnel are required prior to issuance. The addendum further states that the Hampshire County Commission has final authority to revoke a permit if warranted. The Hampshire County Commission meetings are open to the public.
