Notice is hereby given that a public hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday October  15, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Charles Town City Hall, Council Chambers, 101 E. Washington Street, Charles Town, WV by the City of Charles Town Historic Landmarks Commission on the following matter:

COA2025-19: Request by Eugene Bridges for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a porch replacement at 419 E. Liberty St. The property is located approximately 40 feet west of the intersection of N. Seminary and E. Liberty Streets, and is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2, Parcel 231.1. The property is zoned Old-Town Residential.

COA2025-21: Request by Hannah Sindi for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a wall mounted sign at 304 W. Washington St. The property is located approximately 50 feet west of the intersection of N. Lawrence and W. Washington Streets, and is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2B, Parcel 10. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed Use Commercial.

COA2025-22: Request by Trent Dawson for a Certificate of Appropriateness for dormer siding replacement at 540 E. Liberty St. The property is located approximately 130 feet east of the intersection of Court and E. Liberty Streets, and is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2, Parcel 213. The property is zoned Old-Town Residential.

FIP2025-04: A request by John McIlroy for a façade improvement grant for 121 S. Samuel Street, which is located at the intersection of E. Congress and S. Samuel Streets, and is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2, Parcel 96. The applicant requests funding for painting, replacing wood siding, and cleaning and repointing of brick. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed Use Commercial.

FIP2025-05: A request by Taylor Hodges for a façade improvement grant for 323 E. Washington Street, which is located at the intersection of E. Washington and S. Church Streets, and is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2, Parcel 108. The applicant requests funding for painting, chimney replacement, brick cleaning and brick repointing/repair. The property is zoned Old-Town Residential.

FIP2025-06: A request by Wayne Snowden for a façade improvement grant for 109 N. Charles St., which is located approximately 120 feet north of the intersection of E. Washington and N. Charles Streets, and is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2B, Parcel 30.1. The applicant requests funding for painting and exterior wall repairs. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed Use Commercial.

FIP2025-07: A request by Forrest Pritchard for a façade improvement grant for 212 N. Geroge St., which is located approximately 100 feet south of the intersection of N. George and E. North Streets, and is also identified as Tax Dist. 3, Map 2A, Parcel 19. The applicant requests funding for awning installation. The property is zoned Old-Town Mixed Use Commercial.
