NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE
OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Belleville United Methodist Church)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after October 20, 2017 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to RICHARD BONAR, DEBORAH BONAR, ERIC BONAR and LORI SLAYTON, all of their right, title and interest, in and to the following lots, tracts or parcels of land, situate in Harris District, Wood County, West Virginia, and being more particularly described as follows:
TRACT ONE:
BEGINNING at a stake located on the northerly right-of-way line of the old Belleville Road at the southeast corner of the 2.43 acre tract conveyed unto Paul R. Reese, et ux, by Guy C. Smith, et ux, by deed dated May 1, 1959, of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia in Deed Book No. 431 at page 277, of which this conveyance is a part; thence South 58º 58’West 150 feet along said northerly right-of-way line of the old Belleville Road to a point; thence North 31º02’ West, 160.88 feet to a point; thence North 58ºEast, 192.71 feet to a stake at the northeast corner of said 2.43 acre tract of which this conveyance is a part; thence S. 16º27’ E. 169.9 feet to the place of beginning, containing .60 acre, more or less, all as shown on the plat entitled plat of part of Paul R. Reese 2.43 acre tract, Harris District, dated March, 1965, prepared by Arden L. Marshall, reference to said map is hereby made for a more particular description of the property hereby conveyed.
And being the same property conveyed from Paul R. Reese and Mildred A. Reese, husband and wife to Ethel Smith, Clarence Townsend and Charlie B. Workman, Trustees of the Belleville Methodist Church by Deed dated the 10th day of May, 1965 and of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia in Deed Book 503, at page 90.
TRACT TWO:
BEGINNING at a point in the center of County Road 2/2 being the Northeast corner of Martin 45 acre tract; thence with original line S. 22-45 E. 43.30 feet passing an oak stump at 11.20 feet and continuing to a point; thence leaving original line and with the interior of the original tract the next two courses S. 62-16W 172.19 feet; thence N. 3l-35W 43.23 feet passing a 1’ iron pipe at 28.20 feet and continuing to a point in the center of said county Road 2/2; thence with center of said road N62-15 E. 178.86 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0.174 acres (7579.44 square feet) be it more or less, as shown on a plat of survey by Darrell R. Boice, Licensed Land Surveyor No. 8u 667, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, dated May 26, 1988, all bearings magnetic to date, and all distances are horizontal, reference to said map is hereby made for a more particular description of the property hereby conveyed.
And being the same property conveyed from Richard O. Martin, acting by and through his Attorney-in-Fact, James R. Martin, and Ollie Martin, the wife of Richard O. Martin to David Oiler, Ethel Smith, Goldie Wigal and Joe Kiddy, as Trustees of Belleville United Methodist Church by Deed dated the 23rd day of May, 1988 and of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 862, at page 309.
Said Belleville United Methodist Church having been discontinued by the regular 2017 session of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
