Corporation of Harpers Ferry Town Council

To Be Held at Town Hall

1000 Washington Street, Harpers Ferry, WV

To  amend Part Thirteen-Zoning Ordinance

including Appendix A and Appendix B

and To establish a new zoning overlay district, Article 1313.04, to Part Thirteen-Zoning Ordinance

 

The Harpers Ferry Town Council will recommend amendments to Part Thirteen-Zoning Ordinance, including Appendix A and Appendix B.  The Council will also recommend an amendment to establish a new zoning overlay district, Article 1313.04, to be named the Promontory Overlay District, establish the parcels to be included, and establish the regulations for building, land use, and site design of the Promontory Overlay District.

 

Two separate hearings will be held on each of the two dates below.  These are:

Friday, January 6, 2017

7:00-7:30 p.m. For Part Thirteen including Appendix A and Appendix B

7:30-8:30 p.m. For Article 1313.04

 

Saturday, January 7, 2017

10:00-10:30 a.m. For Part  Thirteen including Appendix A and Appendix B

10:30-11:30 a.m. For Article 1313.04

 

Interested parties may appear and be heard in regard to the proposals and their testimony will be considered by the Town Council in its deliberation on the proposals.  Copies of the proposed amendments are available from the Clerk at Town Hall, 1000 Washington Street, Harpers Ferry, WV and on the town website at http://www.harpersferrywv.us/.  Written comments may be submitted by e-mail to Recorder Kevin Carden ([email protected]) or mailed to The Corporation of Harpers Ferry, PO Box 217, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425 to the attention of the Recorder.  Written comments must be received by the close of business on Thursday, December 29, 2016.
