NOTICE TO BID
The Pocahontas County Commis-sion will receive bids for the removal and disposal of the existing roof and guttering/downspouts and all associated materials and debris, and replacement with 30 year warranty architectural shingles and new guttering/downspouts, at the old jail building located behind the Pocahontas County Courthouse at 900 Tenth Avenue, Marlinton, West Virginia. Quote should also contain replacement of any damaged sheeting found upon removal of existing shingles.  Pattern and color of new shingles are to be selected by the Pocahontas County Commission.  Wages paid for all work must be accordance with any applicable West Virginia prevailing wage rates, and successful bidder must possess valid West Virginia contractor’s license and liability insurance, and may be required to post a performance bond.   Contractor also agrees to complete all work within six months from the 4th day of August 2015, unless an extension is agreed to in writing between the parties.
All bids should be submitted in writing and placed in a sealed envelope marked “Sealed Bid – Pocahontas County Jail Building Roof”and delivered by mail or in person to the Pocahontas County Commission, 900 Tenth Avenue, Marlinton, West Virginia 24954, no later than the 31st day of July 2015, at 4:30 PM.  Bids will be opened in the office of the Pocahontas County Commission on Tuesday, the 4th day of August 2015, at 9:00 AM.  For further information, please contact the office of the County Commission Office (304) 799-6063 Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
The Pocahontas County Commis-sion reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
