NOTICE TO BIDDERS
HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COMMISSION
HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COURTHOUSE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM UPGRADE
PHASE II – LIGHTING
The Hampshire County Commission will accept sealed bids for the Hampshire County Courthouse Electrical System Upgrade (Phase II – Lighting) Project, located at the Old Courthouse Building, 19 East Main Street, Romney, WV 26757. Work includes modernization and upgrade of courthouse lighting systems, including interior and exterior lighting upgrades utilizing energy efficient LED fixtures, replacement of supporting lighting branch circuit wiring, and associated safety system upgrades (including emergency and exit lighting), as outlined in the project specifications.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING will be held FEBRUARY 17, 2026 AT 10:00 a.m. at the Hampshire County Courthouse, 19 East Main Street, Romney, WV 26757. Attendance is required for eligibility to submit a bid.
SEALED BIDS must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. ON FEBRUARY 23, 2026 and submitted to:

Bids must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope: “COURTHOUSE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PHASE II UPGRADE BID.”
Bidding documents and specifications will be provided at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
The Hampshire County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with applicable state and federal regulations and hold appropriate licensure. This project is subject to prevailing wage requirements.
