NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Bald Knob/Bald Knob portion of its 34 kV Distribution system in Logan and Boone Counties in WV. On or about August 1st , 2022, a helicopter will begin trimming trees away from power lines. A ground crew will follow up to remove tree trimmings from streams, roads and maintained areas. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, trimmings will remain on site so as to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.
Rights-of-way in this area expected to be involved in the program are: RT 85 Pond Fork Rd and James Branch Road
