NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS – Manage vegetation

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS

 To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Tackett Creek – Coal Mtn. portion of its 12 kV Distribution system in Kanawha and Putnam Counties, WV.  On or about August 29th, 2022, a helicopter will begin trimming trees away from power lines.  A ground crew will follow up to remove tree trimmings from streams, roads and maintained areas.  In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, trimmings will remain on site to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.

Ave N., Kentucky Ave., Ohio Ave. N., 3rd St. N., 4th St. N., Orchard Ave., Valley View Ave., Altamont Ave., Sunny Acres Dr., Western Dr., Swans Ln., Butterfly Ln., MacCorkle Ave SW, Kanawha Ave., Riverview Dr, Grandview Dr., Tompkins Dr., Hillcrest Dr., Meadowview Ln., Northridge Dr., Oakridge Dr., Shady Ln., Cervone Ln., High St., Rays Ln., Austin Dr., Dupont Ave., Main Ave., Simms St., US Rt. 60, Ardith St., Country Cove Ln., Browns Creek Rd., Poplar Fork Rd., Spite Rd., Adkins Branch Rd., Bridges Creek Rd., Snag Creek Rd., Sam’s Fork Rd., Fire Tower Rd., Riders Creek Rd., Brendonwood Acres, Strickland Rd, and Tuckers Branch Rd.
